You CAN recycle with Research Alloys

Recycling aluminum beverage cans is a decades-old practice for a reason: it’s good for the environment, and you can earn a few bucks toward your next six pack, too. All aluminum beverage cans can be recycled, regardless of size. In fact, aluminum cans can go from the recycling bin back to store shelves in as little as 30 days–with little to no loss in aluminum quality. But there are some important things to keep in mind when bringing in your cans for cash:

  • Be sure your cans are empty. All cans should be empty, though rinsing is not necessary. We will make a deduction to your weight for excessive moisture (after all, we purchase aluminum, not old soda and beer!).

  • Crush cans to save space. Though crushing cans is not required, it helps you make the most efficient use of your recycling container or bag.

  • Aluminum beverage cans only, please. Steel food cans (like pet food cans or soup cans) are not allowed in the mix.

  • Keep it clean–we don’t mind if you pick up cans outside, but we’ll have to deduct weight for excessive leaves, grass or dirt.

  • You’ll need to empty your bags. Bringing your cans to our buy-in center in bags is perfectly acceptable, but you’ll be asked to dump the bags into one of our hoppers after we weigh them in.

We pay top dollar for beverage can recycling-- keep them out of the landill, conserve resources, and get paid!
