We’ll be closed on Thursday, June 19th this year in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
Research Alloys takes pride in our diverse team, and we recognize the importance of Juneteenth, particularly in the African American community.
June 19th isn’t just a day away from work or a federal holiday to note on the calendar and then forget– it’s a day that will forever live in American history. It’s the day, in 1865, when news of the abolition of the institution of slavery finally arrived in the state of Texas, a full two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation; it’s a day when, at last, all enslaved persons were free.
We choose to close on this day so that our employees, and our community, have the opportunity to celebrate with their friends and family. We recognize that our strength and our resiliency are born out of our differences, and that embracing and celebrating the unique cultural touchstones of our nation serves to make us a better team and a better company.
