First up– Christmas lights! What could be more appropriate for December?! We accept holiday lights for recycling, and each year we take in about 10 tons of lights. Used Christmas lights are turned into all sorts of new products– including flip-flop bottoms, plastic furniture, and even new Christmas lights. And now through December 13th, we’re paying $ .70 per pound for broken or otherwise unwanted strings of Christmas lights. This includes both LED string lights as well as the traditional incandescent Christmas lights. Christmas lights normally pay $ .30 per pound, so you’re looking at a whopping 233% increase in your payout, for a limited time only.
