Ricky Smith served as the sales lead for Stargate for many years, building great relationships with our customers and bringing decades of metals experience to the table. In 2024, Ricky began to train and mentor Joe Graham, Stargate Metals’s new Sales Manager. Ricky has transitioned to a part-time position in 2025, and is here Mondays and Tuesdays to assist customers and work with Joe. 

There are other big changes happening at Stargate, too. This year, we’ve been focusing on cleaning up and organizing the space, giving more priority to our most popular selling items and curating our selection of one-off scrap finds. We’re also implementing a new sales software system and will soon be able to email invoices and receipts as well as accept online payments. 

As Ricky heads toward eventual retirement, our team will be sad to see him go one day after over a quarter century with the company– but we’re also so excited to have Joe on board as the new captain and are optimistic about the future direction of Stargate.
